Calling all Animal Crossing: New Leaf players! Today I can also announce the release of ACNL Guide for iOS & Android. This is the first Android app jRustonApps has released!
It helps to provide information on bugs, fish, events and community projects in the game. When you’ve caught a bug/fish, you can mark it as “caught”, allowing you to see which you still need to catch.
The app is completely free to install, and is available right now on both the iOS App Store and Google Play. The Amazon App Store will be supported within the next few days, for Kindle users.
You can download both versions from here.
As always, if you have any feedback let me know!
Thanks!
Jake

I can announce that today, My Currency Converter hit a massive 50,000 installs since it launched last year. This is a fantastic achievement.
I’ll take this opportunity to announce that in several weeks, a new version of the app will launch which includes French & Spanish translations for the non-English users. English users can also expect to be able to customize the sidebar on the iPad version, a feature which I’ve been asked several times for.
Thanks to everyone who has installed the app so far, including the ~400 – 500 people each day who install the app and leave such positive reviews in the App Store. I’d also like to give special thanks to Sam Ruston for the great design of the app (and all apps released so far), as well as Viviana Rojo for the French & Spanish translations.
I have much more to announce over the next few weeks.
Thanks everyone!
Jake
Your new travel assistant is here – it can track the statuses of your flights, find check-in and check-out times for your hotel, check weather forecasts and even find the best restaurants, shopping malls, pubs & clubs and more. It’s name is Travel Essentials, and it’s available in the iOS App Store now for just $1.99.
The vast majority of us love to go on vacation, the only problem with it is the huge amount of planning you have to do. If you want to be prepared, you need to know where your hotel is, you need to know the status of your flights and when you’re going to arrive at your destination, you need to know what the current weather is so that you can wear appropriate clothing. It takes time and effort to do all of this, which only adds to stress levels. This is not how a vacation should be, so Travel Essentials intends to take over the hassle and allow you to sit back and relax.
Simply enter where you’re traveling to and when you’re leaving and returning and you’ll be ready to go. If you want the app to track your flights and tell you information about your hotel, you will need to enter the flight numbers and the name of the hotel. The app will take care of the rest. If the status of your flights change, you’ll receive a push notification informing you of it. If your flight is canceled, you’ll be the first to know about it so that you can take immediate action.
If you want to brag to your friends about how much fun you’re having or what you’re currently doing, you’ll love the social integration in Travel Essentials. Share the fact that you’re sitting on a beach soaking up the sun direct to Facebook or Twitter at just the click of a button. If you’ve found a nice restaurant that your friends simply must see, share it too so everyone can enjoy what you’ve found. Don’t worry if it starts to rain, the app can suggest places for you to visit depending on the current weather so it’ll find great indoor activities that’ll still make you the envy of everyone you know.
Device Requirements:
* iPhone 3GS/4/4S/5, iPod touch (3rd/4th/5th generation)
* iOS 5.1 or later
* 14 MB Download
Take Travel Essentials with you on your next trip – For just $1.99 with no monthly costs or upgrades required, you’ll find that your vacations just became much less stressful.
Hello,
Today we’d like to announce the release of an advertising video for Travel Essentials. The app itself will be released in the next few weeks, but if you’d like to learn more about the features then watch the video on YouTube below.
Feel free to give your feedback on it!
Thanks,
Jake Ruston

Dear Users,
We have a few updates to let you know about that you may be interested in.
As you may have noticed, jRuston Apps has just had a complete site redesign. The site is now much clearer and easier to use and it is also built for retina displays, so those of you browsing on iPhones, iPads or Macbook Pro with Retina Displays should enjoy a nice crisp design.
Second of all, we can officially announce that My Currency Converter is coming to iPad. This version has been completed and is awaiting Apple approval. Due to the holidays this is unlikely to be accepted for a few weeks, but we hope it’ll be live in the app store in early January 2013. The iPad design is built into the iPhone version and is of course free to install. We’ll let you know on our Facebook page when this becomes live.
An app we’ve been working on for quite a long time is ready to be publicly displayed too. You’ll now find “Travel Essentials” details on our website, including a description and many screenshots. There’s a lot of testing going on right now but we hope that the iPhone version of it will be submitted to Apple in the next few weeks, with release of late January 2013 into the App Store assuming there’s no problems along the way. We recommend taking a look at this, it really is a great app that we’re proud of.
That’s it for now. jRuston Apps started in mid-2012 and we’ve already had some great feedback on My Currency Converter for iPhone. There’s much more to come in 2013 so keep up-to-date with what we’re doing. Enjoy the holiday season and the rest of 2012.
